Student Supports

  • WIN (What I Need) Time: Every student participates in a dedicated intervention and enrichment period designed to provide targeted support, additional instruction, remediation, enrichment, and opportunities for extension based on individual learning needs.
  • Academic Intervention & Remediation: Students receive additional support from a dedicated Math Remediation Teacher and IMPACT Teacher, who work across grade levels to help students strengthen skills, close learning gaps, and achieve academic success.
  • Exceptional Children's Services: Teachers and support staff from the Exceptional Children's (EC) Department collaborate closely with classroom teachers to ensure students receive the specialized instruction and support they need to thrive.
  • Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS): Northwest utilizes a comprehensive MTSS framework to identify student needs early and provide targeted interventions, progress monitoring, and individualized support.
  • Individualized Accommodations & Services: Students are supported through accommodations and specialized services outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans, ensuring equitable access to learning and opportunities for success.
