Battle of the Books will meet every Monday, after school in the Media Center beginning in mid-September!

Meetings end at 5 pm.

Bring a snack - it's a long day.

See you then!

Battle of the Books is a state-wide competition held every spring at the middle school level.  A team consists of twelve students who read the twenty books selected by the state Battle of the Books committee and then compete in a quiz-bowl-style tournament to test their knowledge of these books. Only six team members are allowed to play during each round of the competition. A round consists of 12 questions, six questions for each team.

Battle titles and authors must be learned, drilled and memorized for the competition.

Students who are interested in trying out for the 2025-26 NWMS Battle of the Books team should contact Ms. Stringer in the Media Center. Ms. Stringer will show you where you can locate the Battle Bookshelf, pick up some graphic organizers and share additional information with you at that time.
