Library Media Services

Welcome to Northwest Middle School Media Center!

Our Media Center is open every school day from 8:00 AM until 3:50 PM for student access during the school day. Students may visit the Media Center with a pass from their classroom teacher at any time during these hours. 

We use a flexible schedule in the Media Center. Classes are scheduled to come for circulation and instruction through any of their classroom teachers. ELA and Social Studies teachers work closely with Mrs. Stringer to schedule time for students to receive instruction and access to materials needed for classroom research, and self-selection for independent reading. 

Students may check out up to 5 physical books at a time and up to 10 ebooks at a time. The lending period for our physical collection is 30 days. After that time, we ask students to return or renew a book if they need more time to complete reading the book. We do not charge fines for overdue books.
