Spring Sports Try Outs begin Monday, March 2, 2026

  • All students trying out Must Have a completed Physical and Concussion form turned in before March 2- they can be turned in to  Ms. Walker, Mr. Hylton or Mr. Ellison.
  • Physical Forms can be picked up by your student from the main gym or you can print one off from school webpage (if you print one off make sure to get the physical and concussion forms).
  • If you choose to upload them through DragonFly (we prefer paper copies) please send Ms. Walker, Mr. Hylton or Mr. Ellison an email that you used DragonFly.
  • 1st semester grades will be used for eligibility purposes – if a student fails more than 2 classes(core and encore) for the semester they are not eligible
  • Attendance – students can not have more than 13 unexcused days absent in the semester.

 2026 Softball Tryouts Begin Monday, March 2

    3:40 - 5:30 pm

 

  Tryouts begin March 2 

Tryouts last 3-5 days

  Please make a copy of all the paperwork in case you need it for something else.

All 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls interested in trying out must have a current physical (current for 395 days), a current concussion form (current for one school year), and meet all eligibility requirements (found on NWMS website Athletic page).

Forms needed can be found on the NWMS website under Athletics or picked up from your PE Teacher.

Forms must be turned in by 8:30 am by the first day of tryouts to the Athletic Director. Forms can be turned in early

Once the team is selected, students who are on the team will need to pay a $45 Athletic fee. The fee can be paid in the NW Middle School office to the treasurer or on the K12 payment site on the NW Middle website. Managers do not pay the fee.

What you need for try outs:

*Current Paperwork for Athletics

*Clothing for inside (shorts, gym shoes)

*Clothing for outside (sweatshirt, pants, warm clothing, cleats)

 * cleats 

*Must have your own glove

*Any helmets worn must be inspected by the Coach and meet all safety requirements before use

 

If you make the team, you will have practice Mon. thru Thurs .

Players are required to be at ALL practices and games.

 

Game time is 4:45pm unless otherwise noted

                                          All schools will charge admission
