Spring Sports Try Outs begin Monday, March 2, 2026

  • All students trying out Must Have a completed Physical and Concussion form turned in before March 2- they can be turned in to  Ms. Walker, Mr. Hylton or Mr. Ellison.
  • Physical Forms can be picked up by your student from the main gym or you can print one off from school webpage (if you print one off make sure to get the physical and concussion forms).
  • If you choose to upload them through DragonFly (we prefer paper copies) please send Ms. Walker, Mr. Hylton or Mr. Ellison an email that you used DragonFly.
  • 1st semester grades will be used for eligibility purposes – if a student fails more than 2 classes(core and encore) for the semester they are not eligible
  • Attendance – students can not have more than 13 unexcused days absent in the semester.

2026 Tryouts Begin Monday, March 2

Golf Tryouts will be held at Iron Play. The cost will be $9.

Tryouts will begin at 4:15 on March 2

 

 Each Day, students need their own ride to tryouts after school.

No early release for Golfers for Tryouts or Practices

**Golfers must have clubs and a ride to the tryouts, practices and matches

Please make a copy of all the paperwork in case you need it for something else.

Please turn in completed  current physical and concussion forms to the Athletic Director by 8:30 am by the first day of tryouts. Forms can be turned in early

Items you will need for try outs:

A Current Sports Physical and concussion form 

Golf Equipment including clubs

Appropriate clothing, including golf or gym shoes

Please dress for the weather!

 

Students will have to get their own rides to tryouts, practice and matches.

 

 There will be no managers, helpers, etc. for golf.

No early release for Practices or Tryouts

 

There will be a Mandatory Parent Meeting after the team is chosen.

Athletes chosen for the team will need to pay a $45 Athletic fee using the online K12 payment on the NW Middle website or by cash or check at NW Middle or send a waiver to GCS Director of Athletics before the first match to participate. This is a once a school year fee. If the athlete paid the fee earlier in this school year for another sports team, he or she will not need to pay again. 

Matches begin at 4:15 pm unless otherwise noted.

No early release for matches or practices

No Early Release - School Dismissal is 3:30pm
