Girls Volleyball
- Tryouts begin the first day of school - August 25
- Tryouts can go from 2 - 5 days
- Your ride should pick you up in front of the middle school at 5:30pm
- If a student makes the team practice is 5 days a week 3:30pm - 5:30pm except game days!
- Players must attend ALL practices and games!
Please make a copy of all the paperwork in case you need it for something else.
All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students trying out must have the following information for tryouts:
- A completed Physical from a doctor - (this is an NC State Law)
- Anyone trying out must have a completed physical, and concussion form by the 1st day of tryouts!
- You can print a copy of the physical and concussion form from the Athletics Page (physicals are good for 395 days)
- A Concussion form filled out by the student and parent/guardian (A new form is required every year - forms should not be dated before August).
- School appropriate shorts (no briefs) and t-shirt
- Knee pads (recommended but not required)
- All those chosen for the team will need to pay the $45 Athletic fee or send a waiver request to GCS Director of Athletics before the first contest to participate. The fee can be paid using the School Cash on the NW Middle homepage or by check or cash in the NW Middle School office or at the parents meeting. Managers do not pay.

You must have a current Physical/Concussion form to try out as well as meet all eligibility requirements. Physicals are valid for 395 days. Concussion forms are valid for the school year. A new concussion form must be filled out and turned in on the first day of tryouts each school year.
