2025 Tryouts Begin

October  6th

3:40 - 6 pm Pick up at the gym

Meet in the locker room after school

 

Some Days of Tryouts and Practices will be in the morning before school

Please make a copy of all the paperwork in case you need it for something else, such as a camp, etc.

ALL students trying out for sports will need a new current physical, and concussion form turned in by the first day of tryouts. Forms can be turned in before the first day of tryouts.

Forms can be printed from the NW Middle School website under Athletics

Forms should be given directly to the Athletic Director

 

Please bring to soccer each day

your own water bottle

appropriate sized shin guards with NOCSAE stamp

soccer socks and cleats

(tennis shoes for rainy days in case of indoor practice)

Shin Guards should have NOCSAE stamp

Please dress for the weather

 

Mandatory parents meeting to be determined. 

      

 All athletes that make the team must pay $45 athletic fee or send a waiver form to GCS Director of Athletics before the first game to participate. Fees can be paid online using k12 payment or cash or check at NW. This is a once a year fee. If the athlete paid earlier this school year, she will not pay again.  You can pay at the Parent Meeting - Managers do not pay a fee.                            

 

 Please turn in completed physical and concussion forms to Mr. Reeves by 8:30 am by the first day of tryouts or at Open House in August

 Anyone trying out for sports should have a current physical and concussion form signed as well as meet all eligibility requirements (found on NW Middle School website. Physicals are valid for 395 days. A concussion form is valid for the school year. A new concussion form will have to be signed and returned by the first day of tryouts each school year.  

Players are expected to attend every day of tryouts. 

Those who make the team are expected to attend all practices and games. The only exceptions will be made for family emergencies. Any exceptions can only be made by the coach.

 

Dress should be school appropriate for the weather.

 ***When attending a home game at NW High, sit in the bleachers at the softball field just above the soccer field.

Spectators are not allowed on the soccer field.

After all morning practices, breakfast is available in the cafeteria.
