2025 Tryouts
Begin the first day of school
August 25
3:35 to 6 pm Pick up at the gym
Change in the locker room and meet in the Auxillary Gym
No Cleats should be worn in the building
Please make a copy of all the paperwork in case you need it for something else such as a camp, etc.
All students trying out for sports will need a new current physical and concussion form turned in by the first day of tryouts.
Completed Forms can be turned in at Open House
SOME DAYS OF TRYOUTS AND PRACTICES WILL BE IN THE MORNING BEFORE SCHOOL
All players are expected to attend all tryouts, practices and games unless excused by the Coach.
Any 6th, 7th or 8th grade boy trying out needs the following items
1. Physical by a doctor (good for 395 days)
2. Concussion form completed by student and parent each school year dated after July 31
3. Cleats, shin guards, soccer socks, shorts, t-shirt and water bottle (tennis shoes for indoors in case of bad weather)
SHIN GUARDS must have NOCSAE stamp and be size appropriate
Please turn in completed physical and concussion forms to the Athletic Director by 8:30 am by the first day of tryouts or at Open House in the gym.
Forms can be turned in before the first day of tryouts
Mandatory Parent Meeting Thurs., Aug., 29 at 5:30 pm in the Spanish Room - enter the gym commons, go upstairs, room is 2nd on right
All athletes who make the team will need to pay the $45 athletic fee or send in a waiver to GCS Director of Athletics before the first game to participate. Fees can be paid online using the k12 payment system on the NW Middle School website or cash or check at NW Middle front office. The fee can be paid by check or cash at the Mandatory Parent Meeting. Managers do not pay.
